Someone Else is the debut solo album by Athens-based multi-instrumentalist Raphael Meleteas — a cinematic blend of 60s & 70s library music, jazz, orchestral grooves and yacht-rock influences.
Recorded entirely at home, the album began as an experiment: could one person build the sound of a full orchestra, instrument by instrument? Real strings, keyboards, grooves and arrangements were recorded one by one, gradually turning a series of home recordings into Someone Else.
Fresh yet unmistakably vintage, the record draws from the golden age of European library music and cinematic soundtracks while keeping its own contemporary character.
